How to hang a painting on plasterboard with double-sided adhesive tape
BIADESIVO TAPE: specific tape with excellent load holding up to 7/8 kg, consisting of a double adhesive strip. Application:
- Clean the surface where you intend to hang the panel with a cloth, removing dust or elements that could disturb the effectiveness of the adhesive.
- Take a spirit level / bubble and, when it is perfectly horizontal, draw a line on the wall where you want to fix the picture with a pencil.
- Cut as many different strips of tape as the weight of the board to hang is higher.
- Apply them to the back of the panel, creating more gluing points to distribute the weight of the same.
- Attach the panel to the wall following the line previously marked with the pencil to hang it correctly.
- Pressione Apply pressure for 20/30 seconds.
ADVANTAGES: simple, fast and effective method; not dirty and is immediate.
DISADVANTAGES: the double-sided tape has a lower seal than other solutions so if the weight of the board should be above 8kg it is advisable to use a different system. Another problem with the double-sided adhesive is that once the panel is fixed to the wall, it cannot be easily detached and reattached.
