How to apply the paneling on plasterboard

Here are easy step-by-step instructions to apply the paneling on a plasterboard surface:

• Lay on the ground, to protect the flooring, corrugated cardboard and cover cloths;

• Remove, with a brush or with a damp cloth, as much dust as possible from the plasterboard;

• Outline on a sheet of paper and then transfer roughly on the wall with a construction pencil, helping yourself with the measurements with a professional tape measure, a positioning scheme of the wainscoting by calculating dimensions and centimeters well, in order to avoid installation errors;

• Cut the polystyrene modules paying attention to the squaring of the elements especially near corners or protrusions;

• Check the flatness of the walls with a spirit level;

• Wear protective gloves to prevent the glue from damaging the skin and a mask with filter so as not to breathe directly into the smells of the products.

• Apply the acrylic sealant directly to the back of the module to be attached to the wall and then fix it by simply pressing with your hands;

• After laying, wait about two hours and then apply (with a specific gun), only on the joints, a special transparent acetic sealant to accommodate the dimensional movements of the wall;

• Finally, paint with a special roller and specific paint for plasterboard.
