CORK PANELS

Cork is a wonderful natural material used in numerous fields of application.

In recent years it has also found space in the construction sector as it turns out to be an excellent thermal insulating and sound absorbing product.

Cork

Cork, as already mentioned, is a natural plant material and in a nutshell it is nothing more than the skin of the stems of the trees or plants of which it is the covering.

By nature it has thermal protective and soundproofing characteristics as well as moisture protection.

Features

Extremely durable and resistant, cork retains its aesthetic and practical values for a very long time.

The 100% natural characteristics of this material allow it to be laid both in dry and dry environments (living room, bedroom, ...), and in humid environments (kitchen, bathroom, ...).

The numerous peculiarities listed make this product unique and the environments covered by it are equally unique.

Range on the market

Thanks to its practicality, lightness, naturalness and ease of application, cork is distributed at any building material retailer including large-scale distribution platforms.

It can come in different formats and thicknesses:

  • Square sheets in various sizes and thicknesses;
  • Rectangular sheets in various sizes and thicknesses;
  • Hexagonal sheets in various sizes and shapes;
  • Rolls of various lengths and thicknesses;
  • Panels to be inserted in the cavity of the plasterboard structure;
  • Visible panels for internal walls;
  • Self-adhesive panels for quick applications.

All the types listed above can be had on request in customized colors.

Use in the construction sector

As already specified, cork represents a coating that naturally guarantees good acoustic and thermal insulation.

For this reason its use may vary depending on the performance and the aesthetic result to be obtained.

  1. Visible coating: wall and / or ceiling cladding for a decorative effect that guarantees comfort and relaxation;
  2. Cavity panels: panels placed in the cavity of a plasterboard wall to improve the thermal-acoustic aspect;
  3. Pre-shaped panels: panels with specific designs created specifically to be "hung" on the walls through the use of special plugs or simply thanks to the adhesive film on the back of the panel itself;
  4. Rolls of different thicknesses: to be applied to cladding or to be placed inside a plasterboard wall, the thickness varies depending on the performance required of the material.

Cork maintenance

Cork panels have a layer that protects them from impurities, water and grease.

Resistant and easy to maintain, the cork panels can be cleaned simply with hot water and a light detergent such as dish soap and every six months it is possible to apply liquid wax on the surface to protect them.
