Guide clean oil stains from the plasterboard.

We have already stressed several times that plasterboard is the most used building material in recent years.

Thanks to its flexibility, we find it in many renovations or furnishing solutions. It can happen that, accidentally, it gets dirty with oil.

Let's see how to clean it effectively and what we need to do it:

1. Sponge and warm water:

• Take a container and put some lukewarm water;

• Take a sponge with a soft side and a rough side, wet it in the water with the soft side and then wring it out;

• Dab the wine stain with a damp sponge;

• Dry with a cotton cloth;

• Repeat the operation until the stain is completely removed;

• If the stain persists, try the rough side of the sponge.

Warning: this method only works if you immediately intervene on the stain! In fact, lukewarm water can do nothing on already consolidated spots.

2. Ammonia powder:

• Take a container and put some lukewarm water;

• Take ammonia and put 3 tablespoons in a liter of water;

• Take a cotton cloth and wet a piece of it in the solution;

• Gently dab the oil stain;

• Dry with a cotton cloth;

• Repeat the operation until the stain is completely removed;

• If the stain persists, try with the rough side of the sponge;

• Then air the room until completely dry.

Warning: perform the operation by ventilating the room well as ammonia can cause discomfort or dizziness if inhaled in large doses.

3. Baking soda:

• Take a container and put some lukewarm water;

• Take baking soda and create a "baby food" with water;

• Take a cotton cloth and wet a piece of it in the solution;

• Gently dab the oil stain;

• Dry with a cotton cloth;

• Repeat the operation until the stain is completely removed;

• If the stain persists, try with the rough side of the sponge;

• Then air the room until completely dry.

4. Lemon:

• Squeeze the lemon juice into a glass;

• Take a cotton cloth and wet it in lemon juice;

• Gently dab the oil stain;

• Dry with a cotton cloth;

• Repeat the operation until the stain is completely removed.

Warning: lemon juice has a strong whitening power and therefore it is not recommended to use it on colored walls!

5. Sandpaper:

• Take 80g sandpaper;

• Pass lightly over the stain;

• When the stain is completely removed, pass a brush stroke of white washable paint.

Warning: this method is highly invasive! It is recommended to practice it only in extreme cases and always in the presence of expert professionals.
