What is the 2020 facades bonus

Provided by the Budget Law 2020 and by the Tax Decree 2020, this bonus provides for the coverage of expenses relating to the renovation of the external facades of buildings up to 90% of the amount.

How the Facade Bonus works

Basically this bonus consists of a 90% IRPEF relief for all those who decide to renovate the facades of the buildings.

What are the interventions included

The Bonus concerns buildings allocated in homogeneous areas "A" or "B" and includes the following interventions:

• Recovery of the facade of the building;

• Restoration of the facade of the building;

• Restoration of balconies, ornaments and friezes;

• With the maximum limit of 50%, it has also been extended to private companies (hotels and other buildings for instrumental use);

• Repainting and plastering;

• rebuilding of railings and decorations;

What are the interventions NOT included

The Bonus DOES NOT concern buildings allocated in homogeneous areas "C" because they are not very urbanized areas and DOES NOT include the following interventions:

• Processing of downpipes, external electrical systems (lighting systems or television cables);

• Glasses and fixtures;

• Thermal coats for which an existing eco-bonus already exists;

The 2019 home bonuses such as the green bonus, the boiler bonus, the furniture bonus, the seismabonus, the mosquito nets bonus, the curtains bonus, the windows and fixtures bonus and the air conditioners bonus were all extended also for the year 2020.
