VELETTE IN PLASTERBOARD

Taking note of how plasterboard is an economic raw material, easy to apply and quick in processing,

more and more interior designers and architects are choosing to furnish and create with this material.

One of the most interesting design ideas to be realized with plasterboard is undoubtedly the "veil".

What is a plasterboard veil?

The plasterboard veil is a dry construction work that offers the possibility of lowering part of the ceiling of a room.

It can be conceived and created in various ways:

• Vertical or horizontal;

• Inclined or linear;

• Curved or straight;

• Sharp or round edge.

Type

It can be said that the veil has two main purposes:

1. Aesthetic: it can act as a connection between the false ceiling and the wall, giving continuity to the environment; it can be placed at different heights creating unique effects; it may contain extra fancy designs (insertion of spotlights or LED strips, various decorations, ...).

2. Practical: it can hide otherwise unsightly pipes or ducts inside it (for example the tube of the kitchen extractor hood, ...); can make the air conditioning system invisible by passing the cables and pipes inside it; can conceal the electrical cables of a stereo or wi-fi system; ...
