The punching plier (or "mother-in-law") for plasterboard profiles is one of those fundamental tools that every operator in the sector should have in his equipment park.
Using a punching plier is undoubtedly the fastest and most effective method for fast assembly of Uprights and Guides without using specific screws.
The time that will be saved in blocking the metal sheets using a punching machine, avoiding the application of the specific screws, will fully repay the cost of the instrument.
Description of a punching tongs
The instrument in question is composed of two levers that work together intersecting each other in the "head" of the caliper, thus exerting a pressure such as to allow the drilling of the aluminum profiles through the blades.
The action of the gripper, in fact, is that of perforating the two plates put in contact by blocking them in a single body by means of the metal "commas" created by the perforation with the tip of the blades.
Note: there are two categories of punching tongs on the market. The first type is for two-handed use, while the second type is for one-handed use.

Advice from TuttoCartongesso
Interchangeable blades: check the possibility of changing the blades of the clamp so that you can continue to use the tool even when the blades will be consumed simply by changing them with a new pair.
CE Mark: The CE mark expresses the quality and safety of the products and specifies that the object in question complies with the requirements set by the European directives in fact in the field of safety. Using a CE punching plier on site, you can be sure of using a product that complies with current regulations, thus avoiding administrative penalties caused by the use of tools that do not expose the CE mark.
Guarantee: every construction equipment requires a guarantee on the consumable parts that allows the user to be comfortable with the purchase made. The punch caliper is no exception, therefore, at the time of purchase, an invoice will be required and it will be the dealer's duty to guarantee a time limit within which the instrument is guaranteed in quality in its mechanical parts of consumption.
Type of use: check if the caliper just purchased, turns out to be used with one hand or two hands. The first is very comfortable especially if you work in difficult positions and therefore you need a free hand for support but, at the same time, it is very tiring as the pressure exerted will be carried out by a single hand using more force in the drilling action. The second one guarantees less physical effort because the pressure exerted for the drilling of the profiles is distributed in a balanced way on the two levers held by both hands but, at the same time, entails more difficulties of use because both hands are occupied.
