HOW MUCH DOES THE PLASTERBOARD?

As already specified in several articles on our website, the plasterboard is a material with extraordinary technical characteristics at a relatively low cost.

However the need to obtain particular performances (acoustic, thermal, ...) can greatly increase the cost of the work to be done.

Basic costs:

The basic cost is given by the standard plasterboard sheet and related accessories.

This cost may increase depending on the height of the wall, the difficulty of access to the surface and the state in which the area in which the work will be carried out (in the case of reduced accessibility, the cost of plasterboard per square meter may suffer changes of up to 50%).

For what concerns walls and false ceilings in plasterboard, in general, prices range between € 25.00 and € 60.00 per square meter.

Variable costs of preparation:

We mean all the costs related to the preparation of the work surface that obviously vary depending on the state in which it is located (moving the furniture, removing the old plaster, covering the holes in the walls, sandblasting, elimination moisture spots, ...). The cost of preparation varies from € 1.00 to € 8.00 per square meter and normally increases the final cost of 10% or 30% and is as follows:

⁃ moving furniture and objects from the work area can affect between 2% and 5% more on labor costs.

⁃ removal of the old plaster and repair of holes and cracks on the walls costs between € 2.00 and € 3.00 per square meter.

⁃ increased costs for mounting a scaffolding can also affect 20% more than a job done in areas that are easy to access.

Variable finishing costs:

We mean all those costs related to the finish of the surface just treated and in particular those related to painting and decorations.

The cost of finishing varies from € 10.00 to € 40.00 per square meter and normally increases the final cost of 20% or 40% and is as follows:

⁃ painting the interior requires between € 20.00 and € 45.00 per hour (N.B: a painting job on an area of ​​30 square meters, takes one to two hours).

⁃ application of various decorative motifs and plasters such as rustic or Venetian. Finishing costs are between € 3.00 and € 7.00 per square meter.

Additional costs:

⁃ Place of work

Accessibility to the place concerned greatly affects costs.

The processing of internal walls is cheaper than the external areas. (outdoor plastering can cost from 4% to 9% more).

⁃ Very high walls

The high walls require higher labor costs because the work will be slower and in the case of complicated surfaces you will have to add costs for setting up a scaffolding (with an incidence of about 20% higher).
