Guide hang an object on plasterboard with double sided tape

DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE: specific tape with excellent load resistance up to approximately 7/8 kg, consisting of a double adhesive band.

Application:

• Clean the surface where you intend to hang the object with a cloth by removing dust or elements that may disturb the effectiveness of the adhesive;

• Take a level / bubble and, when the latter is perfectly horizontal, trace a mark with a pencil on the wall where you want to place the object;

• Cut as many different strips of tape the higher the weight of the object to hang;

• Apply them on the back of the object by creating multiple gluing points to distribute the weight of the same;

• Attach the object to the wall following the line previously marked with the pencil to hang it correctly.

• Apply pressure for 20/30 seconds.

ADVANTAGES: simple, fast and effective method; does not dirty and is immediate.

DISADVANTAGES: the double-sided tape has a lower seal than other solutions so if the weight of the object should be above 8 kg it is recommended to use a different system.

Another problem of the double-sided adhesive is that once the object is fixed to the wall, it cannot be easily detached and reattached.
